This blog post with Betsy and Matt’s Boulder engagement photos was originally posted 4/1/13, but through years of growth and change it was a bit lost in the archives, and the photos were no longer displaying. Today I’m bringing it back because these two and their wedding was one to remember over the years. Betsy and Matt had so much joy in their engagement photos and then had it all over again at the wedding. Even five years later, I can remember laughing with them and how much they smiled together!
Betsy and Matt are getting married in May! Originally we wanted to do their engagement photos in the mountains, and we even planned for it. We were crossing our fingers for snow and well…that’s what we got. I ended up in the snow further in the mountains, and Betsy and Matt couldn’t get their car up. Even though we didn’t meet up where the snow was, it all worked out great regardless. Instead, we met down at the bottom of the mountains around the same time and drove up the road to some gorgeous fields South of Boulder and enjoyed the sunset and non-snowy air down there instead. We had tons of laughs taking silly photos and serious ones, which were a great reflection of their personalities. Some of these sunset photos are also why I live for shooting at this time of day. Even though we had some crazy weather, the colors of these sunsets were incredible and just plain epic. I’m so thankful I have clients like Betsy and Matt who are willing to venture around the mountains of Colorado, dance in the sunsets and have a great time at engagement shoots like this. These two are just fun people and fun-loving. I know their wedding is going to be awesome and I seriously can’t wait for it! We’ve got some fun stuff planned for different photo ops, and I’m excited to be part of it all!
