Sarah and Milo’s Colorado mountain wedding and its photos happened in May of 2013. As a few of you know from recent blogs, I’ve been reviving some old blog post where somehow over the years the photos disappeared, but the stories were still there. As I made a list of these blogs I am working on refreshing, I noticed that Sarah and Milo’s wedding wasn’t anywhere to be found, which is a shame because it was one of my favorite weddings of all time.
This wedding is one of my earlier offbeat weddings with lots of less traditional elements at Meadowcreek Bed and Breakfast (also known as Meadowcreek Lodge). Even this very day, almost five years later, I can still remember what it was like walking up to this wedding, unpacking the gear and meeting the guests. You always notice a vibe right away with a wedding crowd, and these had sage burning outside doing some cleansings, and were some of the most welcoming guests imaginable. I felt at home immediately.
Throughout the day I got to experience Sarah and Milo’s joy in a way that will always stand out in my mind. I loved the circular set up of their ceremony, some of the extra personal elements they added to their whole day, Sarah’s amazing tights and boots, and a whole host of other amazing parts of their day. Sarah and Milo have a quiet, but intimate love which I am still grateful to have witnessed and been apart of to this day.
