When your rad hairstylist from The Parlour in Boulder has a super amazing wedding at Antler Ridge in Montrose…and you get to be the photographer….well, let’s just say you know it’s going to be good. Meet Jessica and Weston. Jessica has been doing my hair since I scheduled an emergency appointment with her years ago. Even now, living 5 hours away, I still don’t let anyone else touch my hair (I learned a hard lesson). I came in to her the first time with a terrible haircut. I had wanted to cut my hair short into a pixie and went and saw a guy that was recommended by a friend. Well the guy didn’t get it, and I looked like I came straight out of the 90’s with every boy’s “bowl” haircut. I hid my hair for a few days until I could decide what to do. Jessica was a whiz with short hair and pixie cuts on women becuase she’s had one herself for years. No one else compares. She’s taken my hair to all the colors of the rainbow and back again, bleached it heavily and it survived well. Literally, if you need someone great in the Denver area – go see her because she’s the best.
Onto the wedding fun though. Jessica’s mom was the planner and decorator and she wowed everyone with her amazing pink tablescapes. They look better than some of the actual planners’ tablescapes that I’ve worked with. I want to hire her for every wedding! The day started out sunny, a few storms moved in that brought wind and dramatic skies, but they cleared out just in time for an epic sunset at the end of the night. There were three really great speeches too. It’s not easy to give a good speech, but they all had us either laughing or an entire room of almost 200 guests tearing up. You know it’s good when that happens. Congrats to Jessica and Weston!
