A couple weeks ago I photographed Tom and Tom’s Lunch Rock wedding at Winter Park. Yes, they are both named Tom! This was such a gorgeous spot for a wedding. Every other time I’ve been up to Winter Park to shoot I’ve been at other spots. So, I arrived a bit early to have a peek around at the views. Basically, there’s nowhere up there that isn’t gorgeous. I’m so glad I got to be part of this LGBTQ+ wedding celebration!
Guests all arrived by chair lift, enjoying the views and Fall weather. We went right into the ceremony – which had some amazing stories as told by their officiant (who is also a good friend of theirs). I also loved how their parents all walked back down the aisle together at the end of the ceremony. There was just something so touching about how their families got along. Each of them comes from a home with lots of siblings and it was clear how close they were to their siblings, parents and each other’s families. Not all weddings are like that!
We did cocktail hour and photos in the best possible light of the day and then we celebrated the rest of the evening together. This was a crowd that loved to dance, so having a live band was the perfect choice for the wedding. I always love it when I get to photograph a group that’s going to spend a lot of time on the dance floor. It keeps the wedding crowd busy and it always is a ton of fun. I get a bit jealous I can’t dance the night away too, maybe someone will have me as a guest to a wedding in the near future!
Congrats to Tom G and Tom F on their amazing wedding. I can’t wait to follow along and see what these two do on this new step in their journey. They’ve got an amazing group of friends and family with them for the ride so I’m confident it will be amazing!
