It’s my dream to photograph more engagements and weddings in Utah, so when Kat and Joe wanted to do their engagement photos in Moab I was thrilled! Moab has such an epic landscape, who wouldn’t want to photograph there as much as possible? After having Kat and Joe show me around like the Moab pros they are, I can confidently tell you I want to explore it even more now. If you’re interested in engagement sessions and photos in Moab – you know where to find me!
Kat and Joe brought their sweet dogs and took me on a few of their favorite offroading trails. Luckily we didn’t get too crazy because at the time I was in my first trimester of pregnancy and I was battling the morning sickness pretty hardcore! We made it though and then we got to enjoy driving through town, hanging out at different spots and finishing up with an epic sunset over those orange rocks and clifs.
A couple of my favorite things from this engagement shoot are the fact that Kat was wearing Chacos (every Coloradoan’s favorite sandal), riding in the back of their car with the dogs (my favorite place to be on shoots), and the awkward photo they did Lion King style with their dogs. Gotta love when clients are down for weird photos and they even came up with that idea all on their own! They didn’t even need me and my weird ideas. After doing these engagment photos I was extra excited for their offroad wedding just outside of Ouray. It turned out we got some epic views, rainy weather and even more fun with the dogs at their wedding – so stay tuned because that’s coming up on my blog too! So excited to hit up some of these spots again in Moab this year with all new clients, and possibly even elopements or weddings!
