This blog post with Carter and James’ engagement photos was originally posted 1/22/14, but through years of growth and change it was a bit lost in the archives, and the photos were no longer displaying. Today I’m bringing it back!
The Evergreen Lakehouse is one of my favorite places to hang out with my clients. So I was, naturally, THRILLED when Carter and James wanted to do some Evergreen Lakehouse engagement photos. When they don’t have events at the lakehouse it can be a beautiful backdrop for engagement photos. Obviously it’s gorgeous for weddings too, but if you don’t have the luck of getting married there engagement photos can still get you that Colorado mountain lake look to what you want.
Carter and James are one of the most awesome couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year. They are so FUN! After photographing Carter’s bridal shower the week before I knew their engagement session would be awesome. They went with the cowboy/cowgirl look for a few photos, since that is them and we had a ton of fun with it. The best part of the session was that Carter and James wanted to stay until the very last light and keep photographing, so I had a ton of opportunity to get creative and we just had a great time hanging out, talking and getting to know each other!
We did a few shots in the reeds, grass, and out on the walking trails that surround the lake house. I loved being able to photograph them on the bridge and getting their reflection in the lake waters! Carter and James were amazing clients to work with – and I’ll be sharing their wedding here soon too!
