This blog post with Johanna and Ruben’s Denver Clocktowner wedding photos was originally posted 5/14/14, but through years of growth and change it was a bit lost in the archives, and the photos were no longer displaying with the actual blog post story. Today I’m bringing these photos back!
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing some amazing Denver Clock Tower wedding photos for Johanna and Ruben’s downtown Denver wedding. The last time I visited the Clock Tower venue was a few years ago and I had forgotten how gorgeous it is, it’s perfect for intimate small ceremonies and even receptions. Compared to the glory and height of all the other big tall buildings around Denver, when you’re out on the balcony of the 20th floor, it doesn’t seem so high, but back in 1911 it was the tallest building in downtown Denver.
With all that historic fun behind it, they’ve really played up the vintage gorgeous decorations inside the venue. All the awesome gears for the clock and the gorgeous chandeliers and mirrors made for really fun photography.
The day was really all about Johanna and Ruben though. I met them through a mutual friend, Jennifer, who happened to be the Maid of Honor. She and I went to high school together and I’m so glad she connected me to this couple. They are simply awesome. Johanna’s dress was absolutely stunning and I loved all the Tiffany blue wedding decorations and details. During the ceremony Johanna got a little excited and there was lots of laughs and happy tears. Afterward we had family photos with their amazing families (those guys are super fun!). Then we went upstairs to the spiral staircase and around downtown Denver to the cable bridge for wedding photos. Johanna is a brave bride, we rode the 16th Street Mall bus with the entire wedding party to get across downtown. Not all bride’s would be so brave. After we finished up photos we did some wedding party selfies (super fun!) and then jumped into the limo to head to Elway’s in Cherry Creek for the reception!
It was a super fantastic day and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for them. I hope they’re having a wonderful time in Chicago right now for their honeymoon!!
