This blog post with Johanna and Ruben’s Denver engagement photos was originally posted 1/6/14, but through years of growth and change it was a bit lost in the archives, and the photos were no longer displaying with the actual blog post story. Today I’m bringing these photos back!
Johanna and Ruben have a mutual friend in common with me and that’s how they ended up booking me for their wedding. My friend Jennifer from high school recommended them to me. The funny thing is that Jennifer and I have lots of odd connections. She knew my husband from his masters program before I even met him. It’s a pretty small world. I am SUPER thankful that Jennifer sent Johanna and Ruben my way though because they are an awesome couple and I’m so excited for their wedding this coming May!
For their session we decided on some Denver engagement photos to compliment their love of the city and their wedding which will be at the Clocktower. I am so excited to photograph their wedding at such an amazing venue. We started out their photos in City Park where we had fun hanging out in the gardens area. These were taken in the fall, so we had some fun colors to work with and gorgeous light as well! After that we drove into downtown for an outfit change and a change of scenery. We hung out in one of my favorite little alleyways right during the sun set and ended up out on one of those awesome bridges with all the steel beam. This is one of my favorite places to photograph.
From the smiles on these two I just know their wedding is going to be fantastic. They have a very sweet and fun love that everyone should be insanely jealous of. Plus, I am totally jealous of Johanna’s awesome foot tattoo. Anyone brave enough for that amount of pain is admirable!
