This blog post with this LGBTQ+ styled shoot wedding was originally posted 8/6/2014, but through years of growth and change it was a bit lost in the archives, and the photos were no longer displaying with the actual blog post story. Today I’m bringing these photos back!
It was so awesome to have Emily and Rachael volunteer for a couple photographer friends and I and be part of this little music styled wedding shoot we did. Although it was in the middle of a few days worth of rain, the clouds stopped with just enough time for us to grab a few shots and have some fun!
Emily and Rachael both play in bands and rock it. Thankfully they both brought instruments for photos and the drum for the cupcake stand! The little wall of mini records are ones that used to belong to my mom and probably don’t work at all anymore now that they’ve been strung up and photographed in the rain!
The red piano is everyone’s favorite part of this shoot. Hauling that thing from Denver to the Springs and back again was insane. It was especially funny when my husband and I passed by professional piano movers in a truck with this guy in the back of ours. Oh the irony! Thankfully the free piano, which is now painted red will be going to a new home in SLC very soon – although I’m sure it really needs to be fixed up!
It was so great getting to know these ladies, having them volunteer to help us and be part of all our photography portfolios and getting to plan a styled shoot with your photographer friends. Trust me, there was lots of laughing, and a few grumpy significant others who we put to work.
