Um…my new favorite thing is Miranda and Brandon’s Fort Collins 1920s French wedding photos from September. Oh. My. GOSH! First of all I have so many things I love about this wedding – Miranda and Brandon included. Haven’t I always said I have the best clients? This would be a great time for me to use the #humblebrag hashtag right?
Miranda and Brandon’s wedding was in Brandon’s parents’ backyard. It was the perfect setting. A friend had brought in a vintage car andBrandon’s mom made EVERY SINGLE DESSERT and the wedding cake herself. The garden was perfect and the catering was divine.
Miranda’s dress was made by Brandon’s grandmother, which was so super sweet and the dress was gorgeous and totally unique. Paired with her hairpiece, it was the perfect look. The ceremony was stunning, and we did photos in the orchard – yes there was an orchard!
There were so many things I loved about this wedding. Miranda’s Maid of Honor/Best friend was definitely one of them. They have such a close and special friendship and that was evident throughout the day. Brandon’s mom made all of the wedding cake and an entire table full of desserts and treats herself and every bit of it was amazing. She even had gluten free stuff. When I asked her for the recipe she loaded me up with extras and sent me home. You can’t beat that!
Everyone was dressed up for the wedding too, in 1920s era styled clothes. I love it when weddings have a great theme that requires a little bit of extra fun on the part of the guests. Probably my absolute favorite thing of the day was when Miranda and Brandon let me steal them for some gorgeous sunset photos. If you can ever let me steal you away at a wedding for 5 minutes for a sunset shot, I will be the happiest photographer on the planet.
Last, but not least – Miranda’s ring? STUNNING!
This blog post with Miranda and Brandon’s wedding photos was originally published 11/28/14, but some photos had been lost to website and server moves or just to the archives. I brought it back!
